Well, I just discovered QuadCam and PhotoForge. This is my first picture. You can see I am an expert already! :) A couple of things:
- The opening reception for Pixels At An Exhibition takes place 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the Giorgi Gallery, 2911 Claremont Blvd., Berkeley. Grant Hazard, of the Very Hush Hush (http://www.theveryhushhush.com/), will also be debuting works from his first solo piano cd, Genus Euphony, at the reception on the gallery’s grand piano.
- We would be grateful if any of you artists who have submitted work would care to share what apps you used on your photos in the comments. Just a request, but I am certainly curious how some of your amazing pictures were created.
- I want to say that we are simply overjoyed at the quality of the submissions we have been receiving from all over the world. Thank you so much! We are already making plans for the future, more shows, an iPhone app … who knows? We’ve been flying by the seats of our pants – no end in sight! Thank you, all.
- And one last reminder: Deadline for submissions for the Giorgi Gallery show is Midnight, January 15!!!
I just realize you might want this here instead of some random picture.
I usually just take the picture with the built in camera, but then I go to work on it.
Usually I start with tiltshift http://artandmobile.com/tiltshift/ , I like how the saturation, contrast, and brightness works.
Then for fine grain color control I move to Mill Color, http://www.themill.com/colourapp/ , super fine-grain, and its free.
sometimes I like the effects in best camera, http://www.thebestcamera.com/ , but mostly I use best-camera for the vignette, and desaturation.
Also right now best camera has the best distribution options, multi-distribute with one button click.
