Aylin Argun ~ Mother Earth

I love the chaotic juxtaposition of elements here: the flock of gulls, the grassy field superimposed onto her torso, the bouquet of flowers that seems to be simultaneously collapsing into and exploding out of a dimensional vortex. I think the desaturation was a wise choice, somewhat flattening and therefore unifying the elements. While the image bespeaks the eternal nature of woman through whom cycle the tidal energies of the earth, and through whom we mere men are able to connect to those energies, this image possesses a wonderful undercurrent of humor.

You know how I got to this one.
