One thing I love love love about LA is that it is filled with characters with outrageous style that they carry with absolute élan. Connie has captured this cool young boulevardier perfectly. What amazing style: the coat, the shirt, the tattoos, the big ring on his forefinger, the hair, the long cigaret dangling from his lips, his squinty expression that screams “I-don’t-give-a-damn” in the nicest way possible.
I particularly like how she has flattened the color palette behind him, while echoing hints of the the reddish burgundy of his cuffs and lapels in the square columns on the left and on the bus across the street.
Street iphonic art at its finest.
