I happen to know that Liz is an avid, some might say compulsive, reader of books. She is also a very fine illustrator and lover of nature. All of these qualities inform her work.

Beautiful apping here: the smooth skin, the shading around the eye, the red cornea. The BUG. Its delicate lace-like wings. the antennae casting shadows on her fair skin. Spooky.
