A lovely portrait of an thoughtful young girl at the beach. Arms crossed, intently gazing seaward. Hair tossed and shining in the sun. It’s a brilliant shot and Petyr has done a wonderful job with the apping: just enough to evoke a painterly quality, while maintaining its photographic essence on a sunny, breezy afternoon at the edge of the Pacific.
Happy Sunday.
Get Ferris Wheel – Sunshine Superman by Donovan
Knox, what pleasant Sunday morning surprise to see my image as pic of the day. I’m very honored by the selection. My 12 year old daughter Maya, who’s in the picture of says thanks too. ;-) I was going for a Andrew Wyeth look and feel. Many of Wyeth’s paintings display an every expanding vastness in their background which I also tried to capture with the pacific ocean in the background and the wide angle landscape cropping. Have a great Sunday.
I was going to mention Wyeth—I definitely noticed the influence—but I forgot. Glad you reminded me!
