I just had the pleasure of watching the fascinating documentary, “Finding Vivian Maier,” on Netflix. She worked as a nanny most of her life and had a secret life as a street photographer, leaving behind approximately 150,000 negatives upon her death. The movie is the story of a young man discovering some boxes of her negatives at a sale and his search to discover the person behind them.
To say she was eccentric would be an understatement.
But what a talent and a great story. Highly recommended. (I’m sure many of you have seen it already.)
