Macrumors is sharing some images of Will.i.am’s new accoutrements for the iPhone. Andrew Proudlove wrote the other day and asked me if I had heard about it and, if so, what did I think? Well, I had not heard about it and said we would have to wait and see what happened when it was released and how people would use it. Now that I’ve seen the article, we don’t have to wait that long.
It’s called the i.am+.
I think a better name would be i.am.a.dumbass.

The product, which will be available in £199 C.4 “contemporary” and £299 V.4 “vintage” models for the iPhone 4 and 4S, also contains a slide-out keyboard on the V.4 and launches on December 6. The C.4/V.4 versions use the existing iPhone camera and contain interchangeable lenses for standard, fish-eye, and zoom photo capabilities, while the more advanced C.5/V.5 models for the iPhone 5 that will come with a dedicated 14-megapixel sensor and flash won’t launch until next year.
I just could not justify that cost for an accessory that will not move between models when you upgrade. It is crazy!
I don’t think my beat-up iPhone 4 with all the duct tape on the back would fit in that…:)
