It’s Christmas Eve, therefore, as is tradition on Pixels, here is the David Bowie/Bing Crosby rendition of “Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy.”
I posted a lot more about how they put this together, a year or two ago. I want to remind you that David balked at singing Little Drummer Boy straight, so to speak, so they wrote a new song, in counterpoint, “Peace On Earth,” that very day, rehearsed it a few times, then performed it live on Bing’s last Christmas special before he died. I can only imagine that they had to rewrite the orchestral backing score as well.
