After the jump, you can see the the original image Maia used to create this image. Starting next month, we will be showing more examples of process for our featured artists. It is work like this, and that of a number of other artists, who make it abundantly clear that we are working in a new artistic medium.

Yeah! Great idea indeed! I think what this sort of thing will show us or give us an opportunity to ‘see’ is how we all process, experience and interpret a given moment via the apping…very kewl!
Nice work – this is what it is all about – the ability to see beyond the original shot – it’s a starting point.
Not to belittle the ‘one-shot’ capture though!
Don’t forget that Cartier-Bresson would make his printers work for a week on an image in the darkroom to get it the way he wanted. So yes “one shot capture” – but more work to bring forth the inherent truth/beauty/information of the image. What Pixels is all about (or I hope it is). :)
We just found out it’s a chicken.
So, it suddenly laid an egg?
Everybody is a comedian. :)
What a great idea. I’m really looking forward to getting to learn from some of the fantastic artists on this site!
The noble rooster never looked so nobler…great processing.
