I just remembered something. Many many years ago, I came across some music by Mark Ronson, can’t remember where. Could’ve been YouTube, some website, I don’t know. Whatever it was, I was so impressed with what he was doing, I wrote an him an fawning email, mentioning how much I loved his dad, Mick Ronson (who worked with David Bowie in the early seventies—Bowie’s greatest collaborator as far as I’m concerned), as well. Amazingly, he wrote back, a very nice thank you note and mentioning that Mick wasn’t his dad.
