I’ve always held the premise that iphonism is gentle rain falling from an ever-evolving cumulus of surrealism, dada, magical realism, cinema verité, and what-have-you.

Fill in the blanks.

You can do it.

This short film is a wonderful glimpse into the work Man Ray, one of the original dadaists. I love his “Rayographs” & solarized photography. There is something about him that reminds me of Brian Eno, in terms of his humble nonchalance in the pursuit of his wild experimentation and explorations.

And I always thought this picture, Tattoo, by Andrea Mdos of Barcelona, was a wonderful homage à Man Ray. The picture was in the second Pixels’ gallery show (ten years ago this May).
