I know it’s a pain in the butt to come up with a password that WordPress likes, but speaking as person who has hosted many websites and has seen them attacked—the attacks on Pixels in August of 2012 were devastating—I understand why WordPress has dramatically ratcheted up the bar for safe and complex passwords.
The good news is that once you’ve logged in once, your browser on your computer or your iOS device will remember it.
Please read the article on adding your profile image and cover image on your personal page. Pixels is not a social network beyond the forums, but that could change. I’m taking it slow.
If you used to have a log in here, you probably still do. If you can remember your username and password, you can log in. If you can’t remember your password, it’s easy to change. If you can’t remember your username, write me.
Pixels used to have the app PixelEx, which allowed people to upload their images directly to the site. Unfortunately, it broke a long time ago.
The reason you want to register and log in is that you can post images on your own page and they will appear in the The Present section. I am planning on curating the main site gallery from there. For now. It would be great to have PixelEx or something like it again.
The other reason to log in to the site is the forums. We haven’t gotten them going yet, but hopefully we will.
