The Corrs—Everybody Hurts
When your day is long
And the night, the night is yours alone
When you’re sure you’ve had enough
Of this life, well hang on
[Chorus]
Don’t let yourself go
‘Cause everybody cries
Everybody hurts sometimes
[Verse 2]
Sometimes everything is wrong
Now it’s time to sing along
When your day is night alone (hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go (hold on)
If you think you’ve had too much
Of this life, well hang on
[Chorus]
‘Cause everybody hurts
Take comfort in your friends
Everybody hurts
[Bridge]
Don’t throw your hand, oh no
Don’t throw your hand
If you feel like you’re alone
No, no, no, you’re not alone
Happy Sunday.
I remember the day this picture came in to Pixels from a brand new artist, Kirsten Fenton. I emailed her and asked her if she had placed the girls in the “nest” using SuperImpose or something like that. She replied that she had built the nest and had her daughter and her friend lie in it and had taken the picture while standing on ladder. I was entranced, loved the creativity.
I found her on Facebook and looked through her pictures. She was beautiful on top of being so talented and I was thoroughly enchanted. There was, unfortunately, a picture of her with some good looking guy, but only one.
I made up some reason why we needed to talk on the phone and she called. The first thing I said after saying hello was, “Who is that guy in your Facebook gallery?” She said, after I gave her a little more information about to which picture I was referring, “That’s my brother.” I said, “So you don’t have a boyfriend, you’re single?” She said, “Yes.” I said, “Will you marry me?” I wasn’t joking.
We got to be friends and we worked together for a few issues of iPhotographer Magazine and she did a fantastic job, but, alas, that ship had sailed. We just didn’t know it at the time. It’s just a shame because we created something beautiful and new.
