Wendell – not forgot

Glad I remembered to look through unpublished posts and found a few!

Here’s a song I’m working on. Still a way to go. Scratch vocal & guitar parts, but I’m liking the arrangement more and more.

(Oct. 10!!! I’ve been working on the drum part and bass line for a week. I think I finally got it.)

Blonde in the lobby at three o’clock
Wiggle a mini strutting down the block
No ring on her finger at the candy store
Kamikaze baby coming out the door

Scanning, scanning, scanning
That’s when I saw you
Oh, darling, my darling
That’s when I saw you

Red head smiling in the checkout line
Blue-eyed honey maybe make her some time
Itty bitty hippie in a tie-dye dress
Shimmy in a tank top looking her best

Scanning, scanning, scanning
That’s when I saw you
Oh, darling, my darling
That’s when I saw you

Bridge:

Wishing and hoping it’ll happen today.
She’ll waltz down the sidewalk

Then look my way
Like an angel from heaven
Answered my prayers
For someone to hold, someone to care.

Sugar plum fairy bopping down the street
Hot tamale twirling in the summer heat
Red dress swaying in the cool night air
The woman of my dreams coming down the stairs

Scanning, scanning, scanning
That’s when I saw you
Oh, darling, my darling
That’s when I saw you
