…fun fact: I visited David Teegarden’s little studio south of Tulsa, where they were working on some tracks for the Cale/Clapton album “Escondido,” and got to check out some of the files on the Yamaha digital recorder they used. High water-mark moment.

JJ used the Yamaha 02R decks, and I think it was the 16-track one that David had in his Nuyaka studio. He’s since moved his studio to Tulsa, just two or three blocks from Leon Russell’s old Church Studio that Steve Ripley bought and then recorded the Tractors.
