A cellist turned me on to Tekno a couple years ago. I adore him. A lot of wonderful music coming out of West Africa these days. Really happy to see he has over 2.5 million subscribers on YouTube now. David Bowie once said that all British rock musicians wished they had been born black. I listen to this seemingly effortless song with its irresistible rhythms and haunting melody and Bowie’s remark makes perfect sense.
